John Lenzen was appointed Deputy General Counsel for Litigation, ACE Group Holdings, Inc. in August 2006. He is responsible for directing all litigation by and against the company and overseeing ACE's litigation lawyers in Philadelphia, Wilmington, Bermuda, New York, Atlanta and other ACE offices worldwide.
Mr. Lenzen also serves as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for ACE Bermuda, a position he has held since April 2005. In this role Mr. Lenzen serves as chief legal officer with oversight for all of ACE Bermuda’s legal affairs and management responsibility for the company’s Legal and Claims Departments.
Mr. Lenzen began his career with ACE in March 2002 as Senior Vice President, Claims and Claims Counsel for ACE Bermuda. Prior to joining ACE he practiced insurance law at the New Jersey law firm of Connell Foley LLP after serving a judicial clerkship with the Honorable James M. Havey, Presiding Judge, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division.
Mr. Lenzen earned his Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers College, his Juris Doctor at Rutgers University School of Law - Newark, and his Master of Business Administration, with High Distinction and emphases in Finance, Corporate Strategy and Business Economics, at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice law as an attorney in New York, New Jersey and Michigan, and as a solicitor in England and Wales.
