Since its establishment in 1996 the Robert Clements / ACE Scholarship has provided financial support to 20 Bermudian university students enabling them to complete their studies in insurance related degree programs and to pursue careers in the international insurance industry. The Robert Clements/ACE Scholarship is funded by the ACE Foundation - Bermuda.
The fully-funded Robert Clements / ACE scholarship is awarded to qualified students studying full-time towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in insurance, risk management, actuarial science or other disciplines related to the insurance industry such as corporate law, accounting or economics at any accredited university worldwide. The scholarship is designed for Bermudian students interested in entering the insurance industry and preference will be given to students who plan to return to Bermuda to pursue careers in their chosen field within the industry.
Scholarship Overview
- The Scholarship provides financial support for a period of up to four years for full-time study in graduate or undergraduate programmes at accredited universities
The Scholarship applies to degree courses majoring in insurance, risk management, actuarial science or related disciplines
The Scholarship covers tuition and fees, room and board, books, round trip air transportation, and employment opportunities
The Scholarship is awarded annually by the Scholarship Selection Committee
Criteria for Selection
- Candidates must provide a letter of acceptance from accredited university
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
Candidates must possess a genuine desire to pursue a career in insurance
Candidates must hold Bermudian Status or Permanent Resident Certificate
